8 Years!

Bart and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on May 4th! It is sure flying! I cannot believe we are expecting our 4th child. Wow! To celebrate, Bart surprised me by getting our children taken care of so we could go out of town. Bart's parents watched our girls and we headed to Salt Lake. We went to Carver's Steakhouse in Sandy, did a little shopping (a must when you live 75 minutes from stores with options) and settled in at the Anniversary Inn. It was nice to get away! On Monday, Bart also surprised me with 8 beautiful red roses delivered to our house, they lasted a LONG time! Thanks Bart!

I am amazed at how well we get along. Our first year was for sure the hardest. Since then, I feel like we have grown closer and closer! I appreciate how helpful Bart is all the way around. He is an awesome husband, very understanding and always takes my side. He is always building me up, with compliments and encouragement! He is helpful around the house when asked (and even when not asked) and he is great to take charge of the yard. He is a great cook...he usually cooks on Sundays as well as other nights as he sees I need it. He is a great provider for our family! He is a hard worker and tries to improve himself. I appreciate all the help he has been even though his shoulder has still been hurting him. He is a trooper!

Bart is a very good dad and takes great care of the girls. Some Sundays, I attend other wards due to serving in the stake, and Bart handles Sacrament meeting with our three girls so well. Even as I was being given this new calling he was quick to say he could handle it and it wouldn't be a big deal! He is great! On occasion, he recommends me having a girls' night out to get a break.

I really enjoy spending time with Bart! I love our chats! A great blessing of living far from stores, restaurants, etc. is the quality time he and I get in the car on the trip, whether on a date (which he recommends regularly), going to doctor's appointments or taking the whole family out of town.

He is perfect for me! I feel so blessed that we are together. I am so thankful for the night when I felt the Spirit so strong telling me I was to marry him! I am thankful he received his own personal revelation that same day about us! What a great foundation to build our relationship on!

I really could go on and on. Bart, I love you! Thank you for being YOU!

You really are a great couple. I think Bart needs to give Adam a few lessons on pampering. I am so GLAD to see you blogging again. I miss the cute things about your family since we don't v.t. together anymore.
